OnePractice and VXT launch phone and practice management integration for New Zealand law firms

OnePractice, a leading legal practice management platform by OneLaw, and VXT, a cloud-based VoIP phone system built for law firms, have announced a new integration designed to improve communication and practice management for law firms in New Zealand.

The VXT-OnePractice integration will help lawyers reclaim time, reduce risk and improve billing accuracy by automatically tracking time spent on calls, transcribing and summarising calls, and letting lawyers save file notes from calls directly into OnePractice.

CEO and Co-Founder of VXT, Luke Campbell, says the integration with OnePractice is a natural fit.

“VXT and OneLaw are both New Zealand companies, and we’re proud to be working together to support law firms in our own backyard,” Campbell said.

"By integrating VXT with OnePractice, we’re helping lawyers automate the manual tasks associated with phone calls,”

“This integration links VXT’s AI transcription and summaries, time recording, and contact syncing directly with OnePractice’s comprehensive matter and client management features.

“By combining VXT’s legal specific phone system features with OnePractice’s practice management system, we’re enabling law firms to save time, mitigate risk and generate more revenue."

OneLaw is trusted by law firms across New Zealand. Their practice management software is built to handle the complexities of modern legal work while staying simple and intuitive to use.

With so many firms already relying on OnePractice, this integration is a big win for both our teams and the law firms we serve.

And since VXT and OneLaw are proudly based in Christchurch and used by local firms like Saunders & Co, this is an exciting moment to share.

This collaboration also makes VXT the first legal-specific phone system to connect with OnePractice.

OneLaw Chief Technology Officer, Tony Rogers, says the sought-after integration delivers real value to customers.

"[The] VXT integration allows our customers to leverage their valuable client/matter data while on the phone,” Tony says.

“You can quickly identify who is calling, capture your time and record key details by utilising inbuilt AI transcription and summaries.

"We are proud to be working with an innovative, NZ-based company like VXT.

“They know the unique requirements of law firms, and deliver exactly what they need.

"We are actively working to open up our platform to innovative technologies like VXT's phone system.

“Development is based on customer demand, and VXT was highly requested by our customers."

VXT’s integration with OnePractice is the latest addition to its growing ecosystem of legal tech solutions, joining existing integrations with Actionstep, Clio, LEAP, and Smokeball.

Law firms in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand rely on VXT to manage calls and client communication.

For lawyers not yet using VXT, booking a demo is the quickest way to see how the VXT-OnePractice integration can enhance calling and case management at your firm.
