Our largest update in 19 months with improved navigation, permissions and more
This is a major update, VXT's largest in 19 months. This update is focused on making VXT easier to use. You may notice you cannot see your call history after updating the app. Your messages are not gone, this is a part of our app update. All of your messages will reappear by the 7th of September.
Calling
- When transferring a call you can filter search results by user group.
Phone
- Improved filtering on the Phone page so you can easily find the conversation you're looking for.
Phone numbers
- VXT automatically names new phone numbers based on assignment e.g. when you create a new phone number and assign it to the user John Doe, VXT will populate the phone number name field with "John Doe" and allow you to edit it before completing the phone number creation process.
- Removed phone number types. Prior to this update, all phone numbers had a type, either direct or shared. Direct and shared phone numbers had different settings and exhibited different behaviour. Now all phone numbers are alike.
Permissions
- Added a permission for deleting records. By default, new users cannot delete phone calls, voicemail, SMS or any other types of records in VXT.
Settings
- Removed the censor expletives setting. Expletives are now always censored.
- Removed the Messages page previously available via Settings -> Messages.
- Removed the transcribe recordings setting for users and phone numbers.
- Improved how admins manage phone call transcription settings for their team on the Admin -> Configuration -> Transcriptions page. Admins can now choose one of, prevent phone call transcription, allow users to manually request transcription, or always transcribe phone calls (the default).
Integrations
- RecruitWizard
- Automatically save phone calls to the associated contact phone number in RecruitWizard.
- MyCase, LEAP, and Smokeball
- Bug fixes.
