VXT co-founders Luke Campbell and Lucy Turner have been named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list in the Artificial Intelligence category, recognising their role in building one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing legal tech startups.
Founded in 2018, VXT began as a voicemail transcription tool developed out of the University of Canterbury’s Centre for Entrepreneurship.
Today, the company has evolved into a phone system built for lawyers. Law firms use VXT to make calls, send messages, host meetings, and automate the paperwork associated with those communications through legal integrations and AI.
The core product, VXT Phone, is a phone system that integrates with legal software, displaying client information on incoming calls and automatically saving key details such as billable time, file notes, or AI-generated transcripts and summaries to the correct legal matter in a firm’s case management system
To date, lawyers have used VXT Phone to make more than 12 million calls.
This recognition comes after an exciting year, with VXT raising $2.5 million at a $45 million valuation from Silicon Valley venture capital firm Alpine Ventures, alongside investment from GD1 and Phase One Ventures.
Last week, Luke was also named Young Achiever of the Year at the NZ Hi Tech Awards.
The company’s inclusion in Forbes 30 Under 30 underscores the growing international impact of VXT’s AI-driven innovations.
